Firstly, damnnnnnittttttt. I got my first email from the UK Consulate in Chicago this morning. The first one was the one I was expecting "we are processing your visa blah blah blah". I was happy to get it, and hopefully will find out I've been approved tomorrow morning. HOWEVER...I then had received a SECOND email from them with "URGENT" as a part of the Subject Line. When I had filled out my application I accidentally ticked off the wrong box, and was not charged the 12 dollar shipping fee for them to return my passport, etc etc. So they will hold my visa/passport/etc hostage until we get them a cashier's check/money order. I got this email 11 am my time and 10 am their time. I called mom in a complete panic and she said she would over night the money order this morning. So I am hoping that they will get it and process it tomorrow....hopefully...it may take a couple of days. I'm going to see if I can find an email to a real person to get in contact with them about this whole ordeal. I feel like I did this to myself....like I caused myself an issue so that way it couldn't be too easy.
It's bad enough that I'm already having nightmares about loosing my luggage at Heathrow or O'Hare. This just is not helping.
I really need to stop stressing....but now I'm worried this will really screw up my visa.. :(
Ugh. I hope I get the approval email tomorrow. :(
