I just returned home from one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I was a leader for an IUBeginnings trip. IUBeginnings is an option given to incoming freshmen and transfer students at Indiana University. As a part of my job I was given the opportunity to "lead" a group of 20 students and keep them from killing themselves.

It was one of the best 5 days ever.

I know that as time goes on, and people go their different ways, that memories will fade and names will be forgotten. However, the impact of this experience will not. I haven't laughed that hard and smiled so much in a long time. My cabin really brought a great deal of joy and humor and light into my life and into the other participants' lives. You all were amazing.

I'm so proud that I was able to make an impact on you all. I cannot wait to see what will happen to you all in the next 4 years. All of you will do great things, and become even more wonderful and beautiful.

Thank you for your kind and loving words. I love you all so much more than you realize. I hate that I'm not going to be in Bloomington with you all. I would love to be with you through your first year...I'm sorry that I can't be there physically...I am there in spirit though.

Again, Thank You...all of you...for your beautiful hearts and spirits. Stay Bright and Stay True.

I love you all.

Ok, so today in the mail I received my student ID number so I could "pre-register" for school. So with that, I figured out my email address, and joined UG's facebook network (I'm lame), and "pre-registered" for my courses..right now ones that are looking promising are Eighteenth Century Furniture, 19th Century Design and Interiors, 16th century Palaces and Castles, Work Placement, and a course about collections/collecting, etc etc.

I'm very very excited!!! It's about 3 weeks until I leave, and I can feel everything start to gear up for a hectic couple of weeks....

next week i head back to bloomington for the last time to lead an IUBeginnings trip. I'll have 20+ freshmen in my responsibility, and it is a Leadership Challenge trip. It should be a great least I hope so!

Nothing else is going on...I can't wait to get there!

Well I've returned from my week long vacation with mom at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. I spent the whole week working on an 18th century gown (sewn completely by machine..all by me). It's almost complete but I still have a little more work I need to do on it. I want to finish it so when I go to Ohio tomorrow I can show my grandparents...

The rest of the week was spent hanging out with Amy, Brooke, Katie, Sarah, Amanda, and Evan. It seemed like every night was spent doing something with someone. I had a wonderful time though...but I felt really bad about one thing...I didn't see Amanda until Katie came on the weekend. We've been friends since one of my first days in Williamsburg...and I just got so carried away with everything that has been going on, and other things I was doing that I didn't even send her a text message..I apologized to her immediately when I saw her, but I think her feelings were hurt...and I feel bad about that...Sometimes I get severe tunnel vision and don't think about many other things...I'll try and figure out how to make it up to her..

Brooke is leaving for Egypt very very soon. I can't wait to hear all about it (and to visit with Amy!). Aside from my goals of getting my MLitt...I've been given a very important job to do while in Scotland. Almost a matter of life and death. I must find Amy a Scottish Husband. I know. Right? I just need to find a hybrid of a Mr. Thornton (North and South) and Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)... and Scottish. Totally doable. Yes. Will do!! :)

It's just over a month until I leave...almost a month exactly actually. I've been home from CW since Sunday. I've spent the past 4 days reading the Twilight series. I just finished Breaking Dawn and I feel like a big nerd. Oh Well. Mindless reading before I read the other books that should have been my top priority. (I can't help but to love silly fiction...). Plus the guy that will play Edward Cullen (the main male character) in the movie is.... lovely.

That's enough posting for now..I'll post pictures of my gown etc's not I don't feel like taking pictures of it just yet.
